In Jesus Christ we have discovered the meaning of real treasure! Third, joy comes from knowing the God of providence. These believers assembled in Jerusalem could look back on their lives and discern the hand of God guiding, guarding, and governing. Few verses of Scripture encapsulate a believer’s complete confidence in everything that happens to us better than Romans 8:28: “We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
